Process Inspector Logistics. Core Purpose. A client company within the FMCG sector are are currently recruiting for a Logistics Process Inspector to ensure that product storage, movements, documentation and administration of the Frozen Supply Chain are to standard and comply with all quality, customer and regulatory requirements. This challenging role will report to Group Operations Management.The Inspector will be responsible for all stock-movements in the Frozen Supply Chain. Ensuring that the stock is compliant with all license/regulatory requirements and that stock/administration systems are accurate. It will require attendance at the various locations in the Frozen Supply Chain. This position will report directly to the Transport & Logistics Manager. Core Responsibilities: Planning and coordinating an efficient high-performance frozen product logistics system. Ensuring that frozen product despatched to our customers meets all quality standards and regulatory requirement. Ensuring that products from our factories entering the Frozen Supply Chain have the appropriate certification. Monitor the critical points in the Frozen Supply Chain to ensure the physical condition of the product meets all relevant standards. Liaising with Transport Companies on a continuous basis to deliver high customer service. Monitor product in the Frozen Supply Chain to meet customer and regulatory standards. Plan and monitor frozen stock despatches in conjunction with sales to deliver FIFO and shelf life requirements. Provide weekly commercial report on the Frozen Supply Chain cost management system. Investigate, deliver and sign off corrective action implemented with customers and frozen product supply chain stake holders. Actively involved in Continuous Improvement and Lean Projects. Functional Responsibilities: You will liaise closely with the External Frozen Logistics, Despatch, Sales, Operations, Planning, QA, regularity bodies and Site Management teams. You will facilitate delivery of measured process improvements and the financial benefit of those improvements in the Frozen Logistics function. You will work on improvement initiatives for Frozen Logistics striving to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, improving efficiency using Lean tools and techniques. You will continue to train and develop yourself in line with Best Practice and Industry Best Practice to position yourself to drive towards “best in class” in Frozen Logistics. Experience & Qualifications: 3 years experience in a fast-moving Frozen Distribution environment would be beneficial. Strong Commercial awareness of the business. Ability to meet tight timelines. Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities with knowledge of Frozen Logistics. A team player with the ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team. Proficiency in Frozen Food Product Legislation. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
